In 2005, environmental education has been introduced to the school curriculum of first to fourth grade in the municipal teaching system of Guaratinguetá.
BASF supports the training of educators and teachers concerning environmental issues.

In 2007, 95% of educators, employees and principals of the participating schools benefited from the qualification process. The First Forum on Environmental Education took place in 2007. The State Governor granted over R$100 thousand to expand this program.
