"Crescer" Project

05/08

BASF started the “Crescer” project in 1982 to support young children in the local community of São Bernardo do Campo (Brazil). Since 1998, the project has been extended to the community of Guaratinguetá. The objective of this project is to promote social transformation through professional education and education to life.

The project is especially aimed at supporting children from low-income areas. It offers scholarships, theatrical workshops as well as language and computer courses. In the last 25 years, 750 children have benefited from this project.

In 2008, the project changes its methodology by replacing its technical professional qualification basis into entrepreneurial education, keeping education to life.
