One of BASF's areas of expertise is in operation of large networked structures for producing multifarious chemicals which are dependent on one another in their production. We also use this principle in biotechnology.
New results in biotechnological research are generated at BASF in an international research and technology network. Together with daughter and collaborating companies as well as in cooperation ventures with universities, BASF develops new processes and applications.
