How and where can stockholders register to attend the Annual Shareholder Meeting?
Starting on March 13, 2008, shareholders are sent an invitation via their depositary banks including the agenda for the annual shareholder meeting. With a reply form they can either authorize the bank (if offered by the bank) to exercise their voting or request an admission ticket for themselves.

Will there be guided tours of the site?
Guided tours will be offered all day from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. starting at Congress Center Rosengarten Mannheim. A tour takes about 90 minutes (including transport from and back to the Congress Center Mannheim). People, who have parked their car in Ludwigshafen, have the opportunity to leave the bus at BASF gate 2. If the Annual Meeting finishes before 4.00 p.m. a guided tour will take place after the termination of the Annual Meeting.

Will refreshments be served?
Food and drink will be served in the foyers of the Congress Center Rosengarten Mannheim.

Will cellular phones be permitted?
You can bring your cellular phone. However, we would like to ask you, though, to keep it switched off so as not to disturb other people attending the meeting.

Is it possible to participate in the Annual Meeting if I have sold my BASF shares but nevertheless received a Notice of Annual General Meeting?
In order to attend the Annual Meeting, one has to prove that one had owned company shares on the 21st day prior to the Annual Meeting ("record date") and has registered with the communicated registration office by the 7th day prior to the Annual Meeting at the latest. If the shares are sold after the record date, the former owner is nevertheless authorized to attend the Annual Meeting.

Is there a time limit for issuing the written power of attorney and instructions to the proxies appointed by BASF?
For issuing the written power of attorney and instructions to the proxies please complete the entrance ticket form with your instructions in full; then sign it and sent it in the postage-paid envelope enclosed with the entrance ticket to the following address, to reach us not later than April 22, 2008:

For the electronic issuing of power of attorney and instructions by the Internet please refer to online voting (from April 9, 2008). Shareholder´s motions relating to the agenda which have to be made available according to the German Stock Corporation Act will be published on April 10, 2007 on the internet via the link "countermotions" if they are received at the address notified in the invitation to the Annual Meeting not later than two weeks before the date of the Annual Meeting.
